This camshaft alignment tool set is specially designed for the latest generation of VAG 1.4 TSI/TFSI engines that feature Cylinder on Demand (COD) technology. COD allows the engine to operate on 2 or 4 cylinders, enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions by deactivating cylinders when full power is not needed.
The set ensures accurate camshaft alignment during service and is essential for timing chain and maintenance work on these engines. Due to the COD engine’s configuration, a crankshaft pulley attachment wrench is required to loosen and tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt during the procedure.
