The pedal has two positions:

Pump: This position activates the pump and generates pressure in the hydraulic system. In this mode, pressing the pedal pumps hydraulic fluid into the system, causing the hydraulic cylinder or other connected hydraulic equipment to move. When the pedal is released, the pressure is maintained.

Release: This position releases the pressure in the system, allowing the hydraulic fluid to flow back into the reservoir. At this point, the hydraulic cylinder or other equipment can return to its original position.
