Description

When using a Clutch Centering Mandrel, the first step is to remove the clutch from the engine and then place the clutch shim between the pressure plate and the clutch plate. The Clutch Centering Mandrel is then placed in the clutch disc and the other end of the pin is placed on a stand or other stable object. When the mandrel is in place, the clutch disc can easily slide around the mandrel so that the clutch plate is exactly centered on the clutch disc. The clutch alignment plate is then removed and the clutch disc is replaced.

The use of a Clutch Centering Mandrel is important when adjusting the clutch, as if the clutch disc is not centered against the pressure plate, it can cause difficult shifting, knocking or squeaking noises, and premature clutch wear.
