Ignition timing lamp

Description

A strobe lamp for setting the ignition angle. It is used to check and adjust the ignition timing of gasoline engines. Set the ignition timing as the engine manufacturer recommends. Setting the ignition ensures that the full engine power is achieved with minimal fuel consumption.

The engine manufacturer specifies the moment of ignition by specifying the ignition angle in degrees relative to the upper dead center point (GMP) of the position of the piston in the cylinder. Usually, this is a few degrees before GMP. Compare the graduated scale on the clutch housing with the mark presented on the clutch flywheel in the light of the strobe lamp to determine the ignition starting angle during engine operation.
