Hydrometers test the state of charge of a battery cell by measuring the specific gravity (density) of the electrolyte - the greater the concentration of sulfuric acid, the more dense the electrolyte become. Displays a batteries specific gravity (density) on an easy-to-read float with a scale. Flexible rubber tip offers easy access to even hard to reach battery cells while the battery is still in the vehicle.
