Digital depth gauges are a popular product group and are a more convenient form of analogue depth gauges. The depth gauge allows for objective measurement of the depth of tread and consequently the degree of tyre wear. If the tread is less than 3mm for a summer tire and less than 4mm for a winter tire, the tire should be changed.
